Traditionally, porn review sites have one final rating, whether it be marks out of 50, 80, 100 or some other number, or a 'star' rating system. The final mark will either be a total or an average of the points awarded for a number of criteria.

Great... fair... but not necessarily accurate!

We've both been reviewing for quite a while now and it's actually rare that we agree with the final mark that a site receives, even though we are the ones who give the marks for each criterion! 

While it's important to know whether a site has good download speeds or exclusive content it doesn't automatically make the site that much better or worse. Sometimes we've ended up giving a bad site a high rating just because it's super fast, or a great site a poor score because it's a bit slower and doesn't have a lot of bonus content.

Don't get us wrong, scores have their place... but when the reviewers themselves disagree with the final rating more often than not it starts to get a bit frustrating, Which is where the Double Rating system comes in!

For each site that receives a full review you'll get the benefit of two scores: A traditional ('Total') score based on ten specific criteria and a Reviewer's Score, where we give the site a mark out of 100 that we feel it deserves, whether that's higher or lower!.

Only Full Reviews have two scores. Rapid Reviews have only a total score.

We want to be able to give our readers in insight into as many sites as we possibly can, as quickly as we can. Unfortunately we are limited to the amount of full reviews we can carry out without going porn-blind seeing naked women every time we close our eyes (Not that that's a bad thing...)

Some sites are so gosh-darn fantastic that we just have to share them. These become Featured Reviews, where one reviewer will complete a full review and the second reviewer will give his or her own thoughts and a personal rating as well. Like two-for-the-price-of-one... except you don't have to pay anything to read them!

To provide as many reviews as we can we will also be adding 'Rapid Reviews' each week. Rapid Reviews give a slightly potted version of the site's content but still give you all the statistics and information you need to make an informed choice about becoming a member. However, because we won't be giving the site as much of an in-depth inspection we only offer a total score, not a reviewer's score. In most cases we also feel that the total score is accurate and a reviewer's score wouldn't be any different.

Some rapid reviews will be expanded into full reviews, especially if the site makes a lot of changes or becomes very popular. Some sites may not contain enough content to be upgraded to a full review.

We also aim to list as many sites as possible. Unlike many other review sites, our listings contain more than just a link to the site and a couple of facts. We aim to at least check out enough of the site to sum up the content in a couple of paragraphs.

We will also be adding mini-Listings when sites are submitted to us for review. These will only contain a link to the site, the monthly fee and a sentence about the site so that you can visit the site while waiting for our review. Mini-Listings will always be upgraded to either a review or a full listing.

There are some review sites which point-blank refuse to give a site anything below 80%... and anything less than 90% is considered the scum of the porn industry. And we should known - we've written for some of them!

Our reviews will be different. We have a scoring system of points out of 100 - what's the point in that if we're not going to use them and stick to the 80s and 90s?!

Make sure you keep out of the mindset that scores in the 60s or 70s are bad when you read our reviews, because that's simply not the case. But if we don't rate 'good' sites in those figures then how can we make exceptional sites in the 80s and 90s stand out above the crowd? See - it's fairer all round!
