I had the pleasure
of first reviewing Matt's Models in early 2006. I'm
ALWAYS naturally suspicious of any site that arrives on my
doorstep with a huge reputation, not because I'm one of those
people who likes to be deliberately contrary, but because I just
am. What I saw made me realise that sometimes people are right,
regardless of how many James Blunt albums, Scary Movie DVDs and
copies of Harry Potter you may buy.
Established in 1999, the initial set-up of Matt's Models saw it
position itself and its head honcho as being deliberately
'anti-glam'. Rejecting airbrushed, overtly glamorous content, it
was interested in naturally attractive girls that had done
little or no adult modelling or pornography before and allowing
them to do exactly what they felt comfortable doing.
Personally, I'd say
there are enough utterly lovely girls here that could stroll
into the pages of Playboy at a moment's notice for some to cast
doubt on its anti-glam stylings, but you can see the point that
Matt is trying to make.
The site has been the source of a little controversy from what
I've seen. Universally praised by critics, some members have
kicked up a fuss over a navigation that they feel has failed to
move with the times and some models they believe are
professionals. Sure, some of them are - but they started their
journey on Matt's Models. British adult model Nadia
(sometimes called Pixie) started here before gaining a bigger
following on British satellite TV. You see, it's all about
research - sometimes I can be bothered to do it!
Sure, the navigation on Matt's Models is not exactly filled with
bells and whistles and it doesn't look a million dollars either.
But so what - it works, doesn't it? As far as I'm concerned, if
you can get round a site with not a moment's irritation then
that site is doing just fine, and that was certainly the case
with Matt's Models. The videos downloaded pretty quickly too.
Oh yeah, what about the content? You might want to know about
that! Well, it's pretty simple really. Matt shoots all manner of
hot amateur performers in solo, masturbation, lesbian or
hardcore videos and / or photo galleries and publishes
them on his site. That's it really. Of course, it's nothing that
several thousand other sites haven't done since, but Matt was
one of the first and he is still, arguably, the best.
Are there any ways in which Matt's Models could improve? Not
that I can see really. Matt seems like such an utterly nice chap
that you could ask him to lend you a fiver and he'd probably
give you a tenner instead. Not that I've tried, but I'd probably
ask him before most people. It really is a completely superb
site that I'd happily recommend to just about anyone, especially
at such a continually generous price. |
